A developer appointed Hall & Hall Engineers (HHE) to design a new multi-family campus in the New Bohemia neighborhood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The new four-story building is home to a new luxury apartment community. The ground floor offers heated parking. Like many parcels within Newbo, this building sits in the one-hundred-year floodplain requiring innovative engineering solutions. Solutions included raising the finished living quarters above the one-hundred-year flood elevation while maintaining accessibility, various stormwater BMPs, and small site urban grading solutions that reduce the off-site impact from storm runoff. In addition, HHE completed the topographic and boundary survey, construction staking and final platting.
