Agemark Senior Living Communities wished to provide a Memory Care facility on the north side of Cedar Rapids and partnered with Hall & Hall Engineers for site concepting, rezoning, site design, stormwater management and construction staking services. The proposed facility was designed to integrate the 4.2-acre site into the surrounding community and provide an exceptional memory care facility for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia, to provide each resident with individualized support and care to allow them to live their lives to the fullest. The Country House facility includes many amenities for recreation, including an outdoor courtyard to allow the residents and their guests to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and secure environment.
The site design required two separate onsite detention basins to meet stormwater needs for the site improvements while also relocating the predeveloped stormwater management location to incorporate building geometry and seamlessly integrate into the existing residential neighborhood around the property.
