From concepting to the ribbon cutting, Hall & Hall Engineers (HHE) assisted the Mount Vernon Community School bring a new Activities Complex to life! HHE worked closely with the school district early on helping them to understand the total cost implications and possibilities based on their current financial situation. We worked with community members, coaches, school staff, board members, booster clubs, and many other stake holders to make sure we could best accommodate all stakeholders needs and requests. We took into account safety, regulations, budget, product quality, and more to deliver the absolute best product possible.
In addition, HHE was tasked to balance goals of being sensitive to residential development to the north and west, minimize impacts on Cornell College parcel to the east, while maximizing width of the field to better accommodate soccer within the facility. HHE led the project from conceptualization, to cost estimating, through bidding and construction.
Lastly, HHE prepared a 3-D electronic model with virtual fly-through to allow community stakeholders to visualize the project and to help obtain buy-in from the adjacent neighboring properties while assisting with fundraising efforts.
