center point, IA
Hall & Hall Engineers worked with Neumann Monson and Center Point Urbana School District to provide master planning, landscape architecture, civil design services and construction administration for the new high school facility located on a thirty-three acre parcel. Site design included bus/parent drop off drives, roadways, parking and athletic fields, stormwater management, utilities and associated improvements. The project site allows for a future softball and baseball complex.
Open space areas of the site were planted with native prairie grass to help promote infiltration and reduce watering demands. Plant species selected for site landscaping are also hardy requiring low maintenance and water demands. No automated irrigation system was provided for the site. A detention basin impounds rain runoff and reduces the 100-year post developed discharge to the five-year pre-developed rate, and is an ecological solution.

CPU INDUSTRIAL ARTS BUILDING
CENTER POINT, IA
Hall & Hall Engineers worked in conjuntion with an architecture firm for Center Point-Urbana’s new 7,000-sf High School Industrial Tech Facility. The new facility is located northeast of the High School and houses the enlarged industrial arts/tech department, another example of CPU’s commitment to further education.
HHE’s worked on the engineering for a new parking lot and sidewalk that would connect the facility to the high school, allowing students to easily access the facility.
A second component of this project required HHE to engineer and layout site grading for a future high school auditorium that will be constructed in close proximity to both the Industrial tech facility and the high school
