Project Description:

Hall & Hall Engineers has completed the design and construction administration for the phased reconstruction of this roadway over an 8-year period. The first two projects improved approximately 3,800 lineal feet of streetscape. One project was converted from a two lane rural roadway to a four lane urban section.

From Blairs Ferry Road to Emmons Street, an extensive landscape plan was designed toaesthetically enhance the appearance of this primary gateway into Hiawatha. Hall & Hall was also responsible for designing access to several businesses while providing a steady flow of traffic to over 7,000 vehicles per day.

Hall & Hall’s construction administration team was also employed for a Federal-Aid reconstruction of the North Center Point Road and Boyson Road intersection.

Between Stamy Road to Tower Terrace Road, a rural roadway was converted to a three-lane urban section with sidewalk and trail. Overhead utilities were relocated underground, water main was reconstructed and a twin 6’ x 6’ concrete box culvert was built. To allow continuous access to 11 businesses, this project was constructed in four stages. HHE negotiated and prepared plats for right-of-way and easement acquisitions. HHE also provided construction staking and observation.
