CIVIL ENGINEER – ENTRY LEVEL

Essential Duties Include:

Plan, organize and lead engineering activities of assigned staff to complete municipal civil engineering projects. Identify and manage priorities of assigned staff to meet agency, team, and corporate goals.
Function as a project representative. Facilitate good communications among the client, HHE departments, team groups and applicable governing bodies.
Attend and participate in new project proposal meetings and kickoffs to provide a clear understanding of project scope.
Review and approve technical approaches to work tasks and assure they meet project goals and comply with HHE quality assurance/control standards. Review research and data collected for project design, such as site zoning, latest design standards, utility information, topographic surveys, etc.
Coordinate with applicable government agencies and attend meetings as appropriate to assure projects comply with agency regulations.
Design and prepare civil plans of improvements & construction documents, facilitate bidding and construction administration.
Position requirements include:

Pass Engineer Intern exam (FE) within one year of employment.
Familiarity with AutoDesk Civil 3D preferred but will consider other AutoCAD-based civil design training.


CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Essential Duties Include:

Prepare civil engineering plans and specifications, and check work for compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices.
Attend and participate in project proposal and kickoff meetings to gain a clear understanding of project scoping.
Collect data for project design, such as traffic counts, site zoning, latest design standards, existing utility information, environmental issues, topographic surveys, etc.
Position requirements include:

Knowledge of civil engineering design with AutoDesk Civil 3D preferred but will consider other AutoCAD-based civil design training.


CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERNS

Essential Duties Include:

Assist Project Managers in the preparation of civil engineering plans and specifications.
Attend and participate in project proposal and kickoff meetings.
Collect data for project design, such as traffic counts, site zoning, latest design standards, existing utility information, etc.
Position requirements include:

Current enrollment in an ABET accredited Civil, Architectural, or Construction Engineering program.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and aural mediums.
Moderate experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D is preferred but will consider other AutoCAD-based civil design training.
